UTGCA Training

Monteiro Lobato Gas Treatment Unit (UTGCA) Participates in hands-on training in System302 Foundation fieldbus™ technology.

Between late March and early April 2022, Nova Smar provided training in Foundation fieldbus™ technology at the Monteiro Lobato Gas Treatment Unit (UTGCA) - located in Caraguatatuba- SP.
UTGCA has a processing capacity of 20 million cubic meters of natural gas, coming from several platforms, interconnected to the Mexilhão platform.
The gas processing at UTGCA originates the natural gas, LPG, and C5+ (liquid part of the gas).
The training, totally hands-on, was attended by UTGCA and BK Instrumentation and Automation technicians.
The System302 with FF technology is installed in two plants at UTGCA with 40 pairs of gateways, model DF63 redundant.
In the training, aspects of Foundation fieldbus™ were covered, details of field network analysis and applications using Nova Smar's System302.
UTGC shows its concern with the technical update of its employees in what is most modern in field network technology.
The training was conducted by the Engineer Specialist in Foundation fieldbus™ and PROFIBUS field networks, Marcelo Sant'Ana da Silva.
