CAIC School Visits Nova Smar

Technology and the automation industry have opened the door to a new generation of talent. On August 20, 2026, Nova Smar was pleased to welcome students from the EMEF Profª Marilena Arantes Meneghini “CAIC” School. The initiative provided the students with a hands-on immersion in the day-to-day operations of a global leader in technology and industrial automation.

During the visit, the students had the unique opportunity to get an up-close look at the infrastructure and operational processes at Nova Smar’s Units III, V, and I, gaining an understanding of how the theory they learned in the classroom is transformed into high-tech products used around the world.

A Technological Immersion Itinerary

• Unit V: The initial orientation included an institutional presentation given by José Alberto Coretti, Product Manager, who explained the company’s equipment portfolio and its significance in the market. Next, Francisco Vallini presented the guidelines and operations of the Human Resources department.

• Unit I: The students proceeded to the machining unit, where they were accompanied by Luciano Donizete Pereira, the manufacturing supervisor, who explained in detail the processes involved in manufacturing precision mechanical parts.

• Unit III: The tour concluded at Unit III. The group explored the shipping and inspection areas and toured the final assembly line at the factory.

Impact and Support for Education

The experience was enriching not only for the students but also for the teaching staff who accompanied the group. Bridging the gap between the school environment and the industrial sector is essential for sparking an interest in careers in engineering, the exact sciences, and technology.

“The students really enjoyed the visit to Smar’s facilities, and so did I and Teacher Maria Vitória,” said Coordinator Gustavo Seron.
