Profibus PA Valve Positioner

The FY303 is a control valve positioner for PROFIBUS systems. The FY303 provides a pressure output to position the control valve according to input received from a PROFIBUS network. The digital technology used in the FY303 enables an easy interface between the field and the control room including special features that considerably reduce installation, operation and maintenance costs.

It can be configured using commercially available Profibus-PA compatible programs or locally using a magnetic tool in basic operations.

The FY303 is designed according to Profile V3.0

Communication Digital, PROFIBUS PA, according to IEC 61158-2(H1), voltage mode 31.25Kbits/s with bus power.
Power supply Through the PROFIBUS PA bus, 9 - 32 Vdc.
Output Output for actuator from 0 to 100% of supplied air pressure source. Single or double action. Linear and rotary valves. With user characterization (Table), EP25, EP33, EP50, QO25, QO33 and QO50.
Main Features Self-calibration, position calibration, diagnostics.
Output Capacitya 13.6 Nm³/h (8 SCFM) to 5.6 bar (80 psi) from the source.
Consumption Quiescent current 12 mA.
Configuration Basic configuration can be done using the magnetic screwdriver if the equipment has a display. The complete configuration is carried out with a remote configurator (eg Profibus View from SMAR, Simatic PDM from Siemens).
Function Block 1 analog output block (AO).
Supply Pressure 1.4-7 bar (20-100 psi). Free from oil, dust and water.
Position Sensor: Magnet (non-contact), by HALL effect.
Indication 4 ½ - digits and 5 alphanumeric characters (Liquid Crystal) indicator. With configurable local adjustment (Display Block).
Material Injected aluminum with low copper content and finished with polyester paint or 316 Stainless Steel, with Buna N O-rings on the covers (NEMA 4X, IP66).
Temperature Limits Ambient: -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F)
Remote Sensor: -40 to 105 ºC (-40 to 221 ºF)
Humidity Limit 0 to 100 % RH (Relative Humidity).
Classified Area Certification Explosion proof, weather proof and intrinsically safe to CEPEL, FM, CSA, NEMKO and DMT standards.

Without display and mounting bracket:
5.8 kg (Stainless Steel);
2.7 kg (Aluminium).

Add for digital display: 0.1 kg

Add 550 g for the Remote Position Sensor.

Add 100g for the Remote Sensor connectors and 45g for each meter of Remote Sensor extension cable.
