In May, Nova Smar offered specialized technical support during the maintenance shutdown of the ACE Ethanol plant, located in Stanley, Wisconsin (USA). ACE Ethanol is a corn ethanol plant built in 2001, with a production capacity of approximately 46 million gallons per year, aimed at promoting renewable energy and adding value to local grains
The main objective of the work was to virtualize the OPC server stations, migrating the physical servers to virtual machines. This brought significant gains in reliability, scalability and ease of maintenance of the automation infrastructure.
The project was carried out jointly with the ACE Ethanol and ITVoice teams, under the leadership of automation manager Rick Jenneman, and executed by Nova Smar engineer Marcelo Santana, who was present at every stage - from planning to operational validation.
This initiative reinforces Nova Smar commitment to technological innovation and excellence in industrial automation solutions, promoting the continuous modernization of international clients' systems.
