In mid-October 2021, the commissioning and startup of a PetroRio three-phase separator on the Polvo A platform was performed. The project, led by Schlumberger in the supply of the separator, relied on an AuditFlow flow measurement system from Nova Smar S/A, with installation of flow computer hardware, ProcessView supervisory and field equipment. This application proved the robustness and flexibility of AuditFlow and HFC302, pushing the limits of measurement and control of the system, with two oil fiscal measurements, two gas fiscal measurements and one water operational measurement, with third-party coriolis meters. In addition, two continuous control loops for level and pressure were deployed on the same controller, with final element driven by FY301 positioners and seven manual valve position monitors via the TP301 transmitter. This was a journey of over a year of work, from initial contact with the customer in the first half of 2020 until its completion, with activities in the departments of Application Technology, Post-Sales, Project Engineering and Installation and Technical Assistance. This is another multidisciplinary application successfully completed with AuditFlow, which in addition to reiterating the potential of the solution, allowed Nova Smar more openness in the Oil & Gas market.
