From January 20 to 24 and 27 to 31, Nova Smar was at the Federal University of Campina Grande “UFCG”, in Paraíba, giving the first O-PAS technology training kit to customers in the world. Present were project engineer Marcelo Sant'ana, electronic development engineers Victor Halfeld and Octávio Paschoal, as well as CEO Libânio Souza. Professors, researchers and postgraduate students from LIEC-UFCG took part in the training, as well as automation professionals from Petrobras.
During the training, participants learned about the System302 platform, focused on Foundation Fieldbus technology, and also learned about the theory of the Open Process Automation Standard, starting with definitions of the standard, standards adopted, business models and adoption of the technology, cyber security, and ending with practical operations on the system, using embedded systems, OPC-UA communication, engineering tools, up to the distribution and commissioning of O-PAS control strategies.
Nova Smar is proud of this milestone, one more in the dissemination of O-PAS technology, and together with partners (UFCG and Petrobras) who are so active in OPAF, always seeking technological excellence.
