Nova Smar participates in The Open Group Summit in Houston, Texas, USA

Nova Smar participated in The Open Group Summit from November 3 to November 6, 2025, in Houston, USA, with the theme “Defining the future with open standards.”

The meeting included face-to-face meetings of all forums that make up The Open Group. The United States forum is the largest of all, followed by forums such as OSTU, OFP, Architecture Forum, etc.

Smar is part of the O-PAS technology forum, OPAF, which was actively present in all sessions with some big news. Luciano Botto, Product Manager, took over as co-chair, leading the BWG's activities at this meeting.

It was during these meetings, which are very timely, that personal meetings took place, since virtual meetings are held every day to define the technology. However, these personal meetings, which take place at least four times a year, are very important for aligning all decisions and making decisions on more critical factors regarding the new technology.

“The meeting was very productive, and 2026 will bring great news. After all, it will be the tenth year of O-PAS technology, and with the decisions to be made at this forum, it will be the year that the world learns about this technology,” reported Luciano Botto.
