Nova Smar participated in the 41st Sugarcane Agroindustry Symposium

From July 7 to 10, 2026, the national sugar and ethanol industry turned its attention to the Ruth Cardoso Cultural and Exhibition Center in Maceió (AL), which hosted the 41st Sugarcane Agroindustry Symposium. Nova Smar attended the event, reaffirming its commitment to innovation and technological development in the sector.

Connecting Technology and the Sugar and Alcohol Industry

The symposium is one of the most important gatherings in the industry, with the primary goal of bringing together researchers, technicians, business leaders, students, and companies from various sectors of the sugarcane production chain. With a robust organizational structure, the event drew 800 attendees and 60 exhibitors, creating a fertile environment for networking and the exchange of technical knowledge over the course of its three-day run.

Specialized Representation

To serve the public and showcase the company’s solutions, Nova Smar relied on a team of highly qualified specialists:

Mateus Souza: Applications Engineering;

• Edmar de Souza: Marketing;

• Edvaldo Araújo: Nova Smar’s EDC representative in the region.

The team’s presence at the booth allowed for direct engagement with the industry’s needs and strengthened the company’s partnership with professionals in the STAB Maceió region.

Looking to the Future

Participating in events of this magnitude reinforces Nova Smar role as a leader in providing technological support to the agribusiness sector. The meeting in Maceió was an excellent opportunity to discuss the trends and challenges that will shape the upcoming harvest and the future of the sugar and ethanol industry.
