Libânio took part in a meeting at the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services

Libanio Carlos de Souza, CEO of Nova Smar, was in Brasilia/DF where he attended a meeting on April 2, 2025, representing CEISE at the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services.

The meeting also included the vice-president, Geraldo Alckmin (PSB); the mayor of Sertãozinho, José Alberto Gimenez “Zezinho Gimenez” (MDB).

One of the meeting's topics was formalizing an invitation for the vice-president to attend the opening ceremony of Fenasucro & Agrocana. This year, the event takes place from August 12 to 15.

However, the delegation also dealt with issues directly linked to the biofuels and bioenergy industry, such as the New Industry Brazil and Accelerated Depreciation programs.
