According to the Secretary for Economic Development, Sebastião Henrique Gomes, Nova Smar is a company that develops, manufactures and sells equipment for industries.

CEO Libânio Carlos de Souza said in the Revide magazine article that he is proud to say that the company was born with a vocation to innovate. "We have a group of 50 engineers who start researching technological innovations, which is a way of opening up quality markets.
